These terms apply to toolcocoon.com, run by Toolcocoon, 8400 Oostende, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium ("we"). By using the site you accept them.
What Toolcocoon does
Toolcocoon offers tools that work on your files inside your own browser. Your files stay on your device: we never receive them (see our Privacy policy). You can try every tool and see a preview for free. To download a result you buy a single action, a day pass, or a monthly or yearly plan.
What you can buy
- A single action: one result from one tool, on 1 device. Unused, it stays valid for 7 days.
- A day pass: every tool for 24 hours from the moment you pay, on up to 3 of your own devices.
- A monthly or yearly plan: every tool for the period you paid for, on up to 3 of your own devices. A plan renews automatically until you cancel it.
Buying
Our reseller Paddle.com sells the purchase to you and is responsible for the payment, the invoice, taxes and billing questions. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase and its payment. Prices are shown before you start, including VAT where it applies.
Before you pay, you tick a box to accept these terms and our Refund policy. We keep a record of which versions you accepted and when, and we confirm them in your purchase email. Every version stays available on this site.
Plans and renewals
A plan renews at the end of each period at the price you signed up at. If we ever need to change that price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before, and you can cancel before it applies. About 7 days before a yearly plan renews, we email you the date and the amount.
You can cancel at any time on the "Your purchases" page, or with the link in Paddle's emails. Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and that period is not refunded.
Your right to withdraw
If you live in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Toolcocoon is delivered straight away, so before you pay you are asked to agree that your purchase starts as soon as you pay. From then on you lose the 14-day right to withdraw.
Refunds
We decide refunds ourselves, case by case, under our Refund policy. Instead of a full refund, we may fix the problem, offer an alternative such as a free day pass, or refund part of the payment, and we may refuse a refund that the policy does not cover or that looks like abuse. This never limits the rights the law gives you, for example when a paid result does not work as described.
Free codes and promotions
Free codes and promotion codes have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money. They stop working on the date shown with them. If a purchase made with a promotion code is refunded, the refund covers only what you paid.
Support and response times
We aim to answer messages within 2 working days. This is a target, not a promise: it can take longer, for example during holidays or busy periods.
Fair use
- Use the tools only for files you are allowed to use.
- Don't try to get results without paying, to copy our tools to another website, or to overload the site.
- A purchase is for you alone, on your own devices.
- Day passes and plans are unlimited for normal personal use. If a purchase is used by a script or shared with other people, we may slow it down or stop it.
- Reviews must describe your own experience. Our Review policy applies.
The site and the tools
We keep improving Toolcocoon, so tools can change, and we may add or remove tools. The site can sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. If a change means a plan no longer gives you what you paid for, tell us through the Help page and we refund the part you couldn't use.
The site, the tools, and the Toolcocoon name and logo are ours, or used under licence (see Third-party licences). Your files and your results are yours.
Our responsibility
We build the tools carefully and test them on many devices, but results depend on your file and your device. Keep your original file: we never change it. If a paid result doesn't work and we can't fix it, you get your money back. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
Changes and law
We may change these terms. A purchase is governed by the version you accepted when you bought it; new versions apply to new purchases only. If part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies. Belgian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live. If something goes wrong, please contact us first through the Help page.
